Goals:

1.        To rehearse and Memorize the 2008 Marching Band show “Shuffle”

2.        To execute all performances at the highest possible standards.

3.        To deepen our understanding of musical technique and expression

4.        To enjoy band

 

Required Performances:

	All HOME Football Games
	Carlson Homecoming Parade

	Ortonville Brandon -- Competition
	Wyandotte Fanfare
	EMU Band Day
	MSBOA Band Festival
	Band O Rama

 All Rehearsals are required and Mandatory.  (Athletic conflicts should be pre-arranged with Mr. Brockington and will require make-up work to receive credit.)  TUESDAY NIGHT PRACTICES ARE MANDATORY!!!

 

 Grade:

	16 Rehearsals        x 10pts    = 160       -- 26%
	10 Performances   x 30pts    = 300       -- 50%
	8 Memorization     x 10pts    = 80         -- 13%
	Responsibility                        = 60         -- 10%

 

	Unexcused Rehearsal Absences will result in loss of Rehearsal points as well as responsibility points.
	Extra Credit can be earned at any time – see band director.

 

Attendance:

Attendance at all Performances is mandatory. Work is not an excuse!  Any possible conflicts need to be presented – in writing -- and discussed with the band director by September 5th.  Unexcused absence from a performance will result in loss of a full letter grade.  Excused absences must be made up.

You are required to be in your seat with the instrument out 1 minute after the bell.
